Slacking away...

Yeah.. now slacking away in d lab, coz I don't have much to do for my Final Year Project!!! I'm still waiting for some specifications from my client! Bummer... what a slow coach!

Wondering why the lab I am in today gets a new coat of paint onto the wall. Gosh, it stinks! Perhaps may leave the lab later. I feel like I'm suffocating. :S

A night with Fizzy's PC

Yup... a promise to Fizz that I would come down to his house to check out his faulty PC. Was thinking that it might be a long night, and it is...

Upon turning on his PC, the most shocking thing found is "MISSING SYSTEM.INI FILE", one of the crucial files that a Windows needs to operate. I suppose that the ad-ware implicated the system and hence when he deleted the ad-ware previously from his computer, one of the system files got deleted as well. BUMMER! =S This is the hatred for ad-wares.

So... his computer got re-formatted and all his stuffs were gone! Poor Fizz didn't back up his stuffs. I feel that he ought to get a CDRW burner to backup his data in the computer. Truly essential, like what I do to my computer data too.

So... I went about re-formatting his PC, installing various hardwares and softwares. YES! HARDWARE! A bummer incident: The installation for the ADSL Modem was cumbersome. The CD had to be inserted before the whole system started up. Then, the CD would run and get da bloody modem installed. Gosh... this was so hectic. I also helped him to install other hardwares like monitor, printer, etc, followed by softwares like Adobe Reader, a BenQ driver, etc.

After all these things were done, the time was 2300 hours. *Yawn* I was starting to get a little weary... Fizz sent me down to the void deck. Very nice of him. However, I did not expect that I was being 'rewarded' for a taxi ride home. Fizz... thanks for that... feeling pretty abashed last night. =S

Alright, that's d end of today's entry. Ciaos!

Time flies by very very fast...

It's Monday again!!! Let's recap what had happened for my past 3 days, from Friday.

On Friday evening, I went out to have dinner with FS. And yeah... he was late due to the fact that his alarm didn't wake him up. :P Took Service 86 (Some Merc O.405 of S13, SBS3787U) to Jln Kayu, and transfered to Service 858. It was not a fast journey though, as the Service Captain was cruising, instead of speeding down the highway. =P Upon arriving the PTB T2, we went to BK. Had a good meal over. Then, we went down to Fairprice. He got his snacks to munch during his leisure time, and for me, a bottle of VODA VODA to quench my thirst. Then we took 858 again to Jln Kayu, and I alighted to transfer to Service 103 to get back home.

Saturday... was a day I did house-keeping for my room, and my PC. Gosh... very messy with folders all around a particular drive. BLEHZ! In d afternoon, ZP, BH, Rach and Hafiz came to my house for movie, but it turned out to be some visiting event whereby they looked at some busse stuffs in my room. Yeah...

Sunday... went out a morning swim. Urgh... swimming pool was filled with loads of kids for swimming lessons. Dreaded by it and hence swam for 45 mins. After that, did some mini-spotting, and met up with ZP n BH coincidentally. Had lunch over at Changi Airport (again!) =P , and then dropped by ZP's house for a little visit. This fella sure has loads of busse models man! How I wish I could take some home =P LOL!!!

Alright tt's all... the end.

Another round of weekend has passed by...

Yup... time doesn't wait for any man, animals, living creatures, non-living creatures (uh? They shouldn't be called as creatures! :P). It's 22 August 2005, and I have wondered why time flew by so fast! Gosh... I still have unfufilled wishes and dreams. Would I be in time to fufill my hopes before everything's in too late?

I hope, NOT.

Okay... let's take a little roll back to 2 days ago...

20 August 2005, Saturday

Well, it all started with a swim on a bright and gloomy Saturday morning. Hey... wouldn't that be a contradiction when the sun's shinning brightly in the sky and gloomy isn't the right word to complement the weather? Well, that happened then!

Upon feeling that the weather was still quite okay for a swim, I went down to Serangoon Swimming Complex. I took a stroll down there, as my mind and body were feeling damn shag! Upon reaching the pool, it was the usual sight of seeing kids having their swimming lessons in there. Bother. Eventually, they were the obstacles of the pool at sides.

Got a change into my trunkies, locked my bag into the locker, and here I jumped into d pool.

After an hour or so, the sky turned darker, and the rain fell. By that time, I was out of d pool, and was ready to go off. Got onto a Service 103 (Volvo B10M MK II, SBS1761G) to Serangoon Central, since I forgot about bringing my umbrella along. The aircon on that bus was darn freezing. I was almost having froze bite. *LOL, this is so exaggerating.* At about 11.30 am, I went down to Toa Payoh to meet Malcolm for guide spotting. Eventually, the weather made me feel like sleeping. My trip with him ended at Boon Lay, as I proceeded to Liang Court to meet Hafiz, BH, Rach, and JH, We met for a while, joked a little, and then we took Service 195. I had to alight at the bus stop o/s Alexandra Hospital, as I had to proceed to Bishan to my friend's BBQ function.

How was it? Kinda cool, I guess. Met up with some of my secondary school mates. We played. We ate. We had conversation over food. We watched soccer match (BORING! Hardly any of the team goaled then...). I stayed till around 12 midnight, and I went home.

21 August 2005, Sunday

So what did I do on a Sunday? Well, I met FS for dinner. We supposed to get to Tampines for lunch, but in d end went to Airport. Haha. We took Service 39 from Yishun to Loyang Ave, and transferred to a Service 53 (Mercedes Benz O.405 w/ DM bodywork). Haha. FS, I do know how much you hate about them, but perhaps do give them some chances, la. There are some good ones around, but you still haven't found them yet. =P Next, we proceeded to Suntec City, as I was trying to find the capsule station whereby vehicles keychains were sold. That was told by ZP. Obviously, we wanted the bus keychains, and I had pretty good karma with it. I got the 2 buses, while FS got one police car and truck. Eventually, we did a swop, as he also wanted one of the buses.

BH came along, and FS left as he wanted to go home. BH was pretty lucky with the capsule station (or rather I was pretty lucky with that). For the 2 turns I've made for him, the 2 buses came out. BH, u lucky fella. I think my Lady Luck was smiling at me. After that, the 2 of us went home.

What did I do at home? SLACK! =P I didn't want to do my National Education stuffs as I was being dreaded by it. It had been quite a slack weekend for me, therefore I had no motivation for it! LOL! Had conversation over the Internet ove a few hours, and then I went to sleep.

Well, I hope that this entry does not bore u guys out. For me, I would try to make my life more interesting, so that my blog entry(ies) would be more interesting for you guys to read. LOL! Have been slogging on Final Year Project, so what you guys would expect maybe some rather dry entries, I guess... LOL =P

Okay.. enuff of my craps. ciaos!

New Song Recommended By Jack This Week:

Because of You - Kelly Clarkson

I will not make the same mistakes that you did
I will not let myself cause my heart so much misery
I will not break the way you did
You fell so hard
I've learned the hard way, to never let it get that far

Because of you
I never stray too far from the sidewalk
Because of you
I learned to play on the safe side
So I don't get hurt
Because of you
I find it hard to trust
Not only me, but everyone around me
Because of you
I am afraid

I lose my way
And it's not too long before you point it out
I cannot cry
Because I know that's weakness in your eyes
I'm forced to fake a smile, a laugh
Every day of my life
My heart can't possibly break
When it wasn't even whole to start with

Because of you
I never stray too far from the sidewalk
Because of you
I learned to play on the safe side
So I don't get hurt
Because of you
I find it hard to trust
Not only me, but everyone around me
Because of you
I am afraid

I watched you die
I heard you cry
Every night in your sleep
I was so young
You should have known better than to lean on me
You never thought of anyone else
You just saw your pain
And now I cry
In the middle of the night
For the same damn thing

Because of you
I never stray too far from the sidewalk
Because of you
I learned to play on the safe side
So I don't get hurt
Because of you
I tried my hardest just to forget everything
Because of you
I don't know how to let anyone else in
Because of you
I'm ashamed of my life because it's empty
Because of you
I am afraid

Because of you
Because of you

Yes... a song that I've been liking recently. Hearing how Kelly Clarkson sings this song makes me feel so comfortable, at the same time, feeling how sad the song is...
Though it's a sad song, it shouldn't be appreciate that way. One should appreciate the rhythm and the tempo of this song. Yeah.

Slack Weekend

Yup... pretty... but not too slack as what it is. :P

On Saturday, ZP and I went for a swim at Toa Payoh Swimming Complex. However, this fella was late because he woke up late! =S Anyway, he actually did a good move as I was able to shun away from TIB 377 X. =P

Following that, I went to the OP Warehouse Sales with ZP, Hafiz, BH and Rachel. However, there ain't anything nice to pick up. So... bahx. =P

In the late afternoon, I got my stuffs packed and went down to Lance's chalet. It was a pretty cool one as I did enjoy myself. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to do night cycling with another mate because the weather wasn't kind.

On Sunday early afternoon, I went home. Did take an hour nap but there wasn't sufficient for me as I still felt so sleepy. Didn't slept enough last night. =P

Yawny Monday

Yes... it is one because I'm almost doing nothing. Thanks to my client of my FYP, due to procrastinating time. =S

Anyway, as I was looking through www.gsmarena.com, I saw this beautiful Sony Ericsson W800! This is something what I call as dream gadget! If you guys wanna check it out, go to http://www.sonyericsson.com/w800/mainpage.aspx?r=sg&c=en .

Alright that's for all now. Ciaos!

WHAT DA HECK?! MY CLIENT'S POSTPONING MEETING TO NEXT WEEK!

What is this?! Procrastinating time? I don't know... Or am I really that unfortunate to handle this project? My client has postponed the meeting to next week due to the fact that he has an emergency meeting!!! WHAT DA HELL!!! WHAT IS HAPPENING?! BAKA!!!
National Day Eve

This National Day's Eve was something that I have never experienced before! At about 7 pm, I left my house for Carnival@Marina for Concert By The Bay 2005. Initially, I was thinking of taking Service 133 and transfer to Service 107 to Shenton Way to transfer to Service 400. However, thinking that time was running short, I took the NEL all the way down to Chinatown to board Service 400.

Before entering the grand stand, I had to overcome the puddle of mud water as it was attacked by rain in the morning. It was simply suck! Then, I saw ZP, BH, Fizz and Rach at the highest spot of the grand stand. I went up and gotten a space to enjoy the concert.

The concert was awesome. Chinese artistes and groups like 183 Club, K1, FIR, etc were there to give live performances to audiences. However, the speakers were really so loud that I was almost deafened by it.

When the clock struck 12, the sky was filled with all sorts of firework display, with the co-ordination of the Chinese Orchestra. It seemed like the fireworks were dancing together with the music.

Upon going home, crowds can be seen for Service 400 and 400A. Took 400A to Marina Bay, and then joined the crowd to proceed to the MRT Station.

In order to get home, the 4 of us alighted at Somerset station, except Rach who transfered to the East West Line. Fizz took NR2, BH took NR 1, and ZP and I took NR6.

The experience on NR 6 was awesome! From Centrepoint to our residential area, it took 15 minutes! Whoa! Love it man!

National Day

In the afternoon, I went out with FS. Eventually this joker *oops* :P wanted to take a Volgren bodied Mercedes Benz O.405 to Sengkang (Service 965 is the route). The ride wasn't that good due to the fact that the air-con wasn't strong enough to cool the rear down. *BlEhZ*

Did a bit of shopping at Compass Point before the both of us headed to Hougang Central as FS wanted to take Service 161 home.

The National Day Parade was pretty aewsome that night. Soldiers marching down the Padang, colourful mobile columns, and spectacular army tanks, etc! Quite an exhilarating sight... but it was such a pity that I wasn't at the site per se.

For dinner, Mum prepared steamboat. The whole family sat down in the living room and watched the NDP. Pretty full-filling meal as I have eaten quite a lot of food. Hee. =P

OoI!!! No Off Day after National Day

Precisely! Why is it so unfair!? Almost all primary schools, secondary schools and junior colleges are having off day for today, but why not NYP?! This dampens my mood! And seriously, I don't have much concentration to do my project today. Well, I'm trying my best to do whatever I want to do... Tomorrow is the day that I am going to present the system to LTA. Although the system wasn't done by me, it is my duty to present to them what have been enhanced in the system!

Okay... Shall be going off now. CiAoS!

Baka! NO HALF DAY!

Yes... and how come most of the institutions in Singapore having half day off!? It's SO UNFAIR! *URGH*
Weee!!! National Day is here!

Yup... time to celebrate the nation's 40th birthday! This time National Day is holding at the Padang, and I find that it's pretty cool.

However, I wonder if there would be half day for my project. Hehehe. :P

At last!!! The Client's Meeting Me!

Yup... At last! There's response from my project client. I've been waiting for almost 4 weeks and they've replied!

Alright... time to roll things out, and get ready to present! =)

Letting go a chance?

Maybe...

I was taking Service 58 from Bishan today to go home... as the bus was cruising along Ang Mo Kio Avenue 1, a burning smell aroused the whole bus. Suddenly, a girl approached me and ask, "Do you smell a burning smell in the bus?"

I was like, "Yes, I do. Perhaps I shall notify the driver."

As the bus halted at the bus stop, the driver came down and checked the bus. Upon finding nothing's totally faulty with the bus, the bus went away...

Then, the girl asked me this, "Gosh... the smell was pretty bad."

"Yes... I feel that if there's some plastic stuffs being burnt."

"Exactly..."

Next, a Service 853 bus came. As I was about to board it, she bade me farewell.

Suddenly, this question popped into my mind: "Eh... how come u r so stupid!? Didn't get her telephone number?"

This is so strange. In fact, this is something that came pretty fast after the doors closed and left the bus stop. Was I blinded by her sweetness? Uh... I guess so...
Week 4 of Darn FYP

It is now the Week 4 of FYP, and my client still YET TO contact my supervisor!!!

Some of my mates have actually encouraged me to get the contact details from my supervisor, and then I contact them. This was a conversation done in the morning break time. Because of this, I went to look for my supervisor. Coincidentally, I met him up along the walkway. He told that he only has my client's email and there wasn't any methods to contact him. So... what he suggested was that I might pair up with Daniel and do the project on GRID computing. However, he would specify me to do another set of project with the same requirements. Then, during the mid-term presentation, I might have to present 2 projects.

Now now... this is really a waste of time! Should my client not responding to us by next week, this means that I have been wasting 4 weeks! Oh man... This is really a waste of time!

What I can do now is to take one step at a time...

Woh.. haven't updated my blog for some time... Hehehe... Gonna share some MTV this time round... 1. 周定纬 - 我不会唱歌
